I would rather have the stats and i think you would probably prefer the stats rather than a silence invulnerability as they're already below average stat wise. If you take away the silence counter, mechs would have to be balanced accordingly even though they're already not that strong. The only real counter play to a buff is a destroy mechanic, or a silence. Yeah aesthetically you're right, but from a game design perspective, (if you had it your way) it would make magnetise a broken keyword, as it's a buff. TL DR - Silence shouldn't reduce/remove the physical stats of a Mech that has been constructed from >1 minion. And if you have played two or more magnetic Mechs on top of the original, the Silence spell destroys them all except the original. The way things work right now, when you Silence a Mech that has been constructed from two minions, it's like you are playing Silence AND a hard removal spell in one go. The Venomizer has also been silenced, so is no longer poisonous. You are left with a 2/2 and a 1/5 on the board. In the example above, you'd be left with a 3/7 body but without poison.ī - after Silence, the magnetism is broken, so the Mech splits apart again into two discrete minions. I think Silencing a magnetised Mech should work in one of two ways:Ī - after Silence, a single body remains, with the combined physical stats, but no magical attributes. Why? After all, if you played Silence on Venomizer on its own, it would remain on the board as a 2/2 with no magical attributes. Thus, a 3/7 mech with Poisonous attribute is born. Player 1 has Upgradeable Framebot in play. IMO, Silencing the combined Mech should remove their magical attributes, but should not cancel out the physical attributes of the two Mechs. Whatever magical attributes they possessed as individuals remain, stacked on top of each other. Think about it - you join together two separate Mechs, combined by magnetism. I think Magnetic is a brilliant mechanic, but I don't think the way that Silence interacts with it is fair. Something has been troubling me about the Magnetic attribute since Boomsday was released.
